Traditional British restaurant Stoke-on-Trent

The "Toby Carvery Trentham Village" in Stoke-on-Trent, England, is a traditional restaurant that belongs to the well-known British Toby Carvery chain and proudly presents itself as the "Home of the Roast." It is situated in an area valued for its proximity to the city while also connecting to the surrounding countryside, attracting a diverse clientele – from families and friends to travelers looking for a hearty meal. After a comprehensive renovation in 2022, which transformed the building formerly known as the Trentham Hotel into a modern, open restaurant, Toby Carvery Trentham Village has established itself as a popular meeting spot, blending British hospitality with culinary tradition.

Family dining experience in England

The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting and reflects the classic style of a British pub, yet with a fresh, contemporary touch. The interior has been redesigned to be more spacious, featuring an open layout that offers more room and light. Dark wooden furniture and warm lighting create a cozy atmosphere, while the central carvery area serves as the focal point – here, guests can watch as the meat is freshly carved, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. The setting is functional and family-friendly, with ample space for larger groups, and especially on weekends, a lively atmosphere prevails, filled with conversations and the aroma of freshly prepared food.

Popular carvery restaurant in Stoke

Culinary offerings center around the famous British roast, served daily with dedication. The chefs place great emphasis on quality: the meat – whether beef, turkey, or pork – is slow-cooked until juicy and tender, and served directly from the carvery area onto the plate. Notably, the "Yorkshire Puddings" are freshly made, airy, and crispy, and are an essential part of any roast. The hand-prepared roast potatoes, golden brown on the outside and fluffy on the inside, are enhanced with a rich gravy that perfectly rounds out the flavors. In addition to the carvery, there is a popular all-you-can-eat breakfast featuring hearty classics such as sausages and bacon, as well as sweet options like pancakes with syrup to kickstart the day. For dessert, a "Chocolate Fudge Cake" with its warm, chocolatey richness is a favorite among many guests.

Offers all-you-can-eat breakfast

The drinks menu offers a wide selection that pairs perfectly with the hearty dishes. Traditional British ales are a highlight for beer lovers, while a solid wine selection complements the meals. For breakfast guests or those preferring non-alcoholic options, hot coffee or soft drinks are available throughout the day. The bar serves as a central gathering point in the restaurant, inviting guests to linger before or after their meal, further enhancing the convivial atmosphere.

Vegetarian options at the restaurant

Toby Carvery Trentham Village is a place that prioritizes community and enjoyment. It is particularly family-friendly, with special offerings for children that are available both at breakfast and during the carvery. Larger groups can find ample space here, and the option to reserve tables in advance makes visits on busy days like Sundays easier. The staff is known for their friendliness and efficiency, making the experience even more enjoyable. Additionally, there are vegetarian and vegan alternatives thoughtfully prepared to cater to a wide range of guests.

Emma is amazing!! We have been coming here for years. Our daughter is autistic and likes familiarity - Emma has watched her grow up and been amazing. Shes always there with a smiley face and even our daughter loves her now. The place wouldn’t be the same without Emma 🤍 amazing service - the food isn’t bad either 😉

Definitely the best Toby we’ve visited so far. The staff were all really friendly and despite it being really busy (there was a wedding party in) the service was excellent and the food was lovely! Thank you.

Bar area is freezing cold. Had to keep our coats on. The only heat source seems to be from the carvery area.
